The retail decisioning layer

One system decides what each shopper sees. Most retailers run four or five separate tools.

Search in one tool, recommendations in another, pricing in a third, ads bolted on top — nobody owns the order products appear in, and the margin leaks between them. Particular Audience replaces that patchwork with a single decision: a Unified Decision Engine that scores relevance, inventory, margin and sponsored demand in one pass, on every surface, including the AI assistants now doing the shopping.

Makita price-match: supplier-funded uplift inside retailer-funded promos

+79.8% customer conversion uplift on eligible Makita SKUs, with supplier-funded price-match cards co-existing with sitewide hardware promotions.

  • +79.8% Customer conversion uplift
  • +61.3% Click conversion rate uplift
  • 97.5% Coverage on monitored SKUs

A leading hardware retailer rolled out supplier-funded price-match cards on eligible Makita power tool SKUs. The coupons were scoped — only the manufacturer-approved SKU list could trigger a match — and funded by Makita's trade marketing budget rather than retailer margin.

Customer conversion lifted +79.8% on participating items, with click conversion rate up +61.3% and 97.5% coverage on the monitored SKU list. Crucially, the supplier-funded mechanic ran alongside the retailer's own site-wide hardware promotions without collision: shoppers in a category-wide sale still saw the Makita-funded price-match where eligible.
