AB Test vs. Salesforce Native Recommendations

Initially wedded to Salesforce Commerce Cloud with budget pre-assigned to a full stack SFCC roll out inclusive of personalization capabilities, the board at Surfstitch were reluctant to migrate to PA for recommendations at an additional cost.

To be sure, Surfstitch has now run 4 separate AB tests between Particular Audience and SFCC to measure the impact on conversion rate and average revenue per visitor. 4/4 times PA outperformed SFCC increasing conversions by up to +75.1%, with a minimum outperformance of +59.6%.
